Show Location
I don’t know if you know but I was born in Dominican Republic and going back was a very touchy feeling affair. I have a good outlook as to what is to come. I had a very relaxing time, enjoyed it very much!! We had made reservations in an all exclusive resort, the only worry I had waking up was deciding which side of the sun I wanted first…was it the beach sun or the pool sun lol. Demi had an awesome time, we all did. The water is as clear & beautiful as a 2 old month baby. Just staring to such beauty you tend to get speechless with a smirk (smile) taking it all in, your surrounding frozen!! all you see and hear is your choice.
Ok wake up Lisa, wake up! Back to earth Lisa …..ok I’m back
Baby’s Language is very happy to have the opportunity to exhibit at the CHILDREN’S CLUB, SUNDAY-TUESDAY, August 3-5, 2008 Booth #2115 I can’t wait for this day, we have some new and awesome designs. Come find us and get one of our goodies

Personal:Let me just start of by saying “I’m going to Dominican Republic” heading to Punta Cana baby yee peee! On a short vacation with the family! I deserve one.. whatcha think?
That being said… I can’t wait!! I will post some pictures for all to see.
Over the weekend I paid the movie theater a visit and saw Sex & the city aka SITC I’m a huge fan of SITC but the movie was not all that wow, it was basically three, four episodes put together. So if you asked me if I loved it? I would say it was alright!! It is nothing to brag about. Or maybe just maybe I’ve grown up.
Biz: Business is very good, very grateful –thank you. The shop is working its way up ;). I have a children’s show to attend August 3-5 so pencil that baby down!!
My world: Demi went off to camp for 3 days, I missed her terribly but she had a blast, I will also post some pics.. My baby girl is growing so fast she is so smart. She has somewhat of a smart mouth if I may say so…which is not cute at all but at least I know she don’t have any hairs on her tongue.
Today: I’ve been having my coffee hot for the last 8 months or so, today is pretty hot out so I decided to ice it up. Mind you I go through the same drive through every morning
okay okay okay I will say it!! I go to McDonald’s
anyhow today I ordered ice coffee. By making such an executive decision I f*&# up all of McDonald’s staff. I reached to window 1; they were like “you order iced coffee”? I said yes….she was like no hot? Not hot! I said Ice please today. She got back on her head set and was like abort abort…she wants it ice. Paid her & said thank you very much. I’m on Window 2. My coffee is not ready I have 4 cars behind me now..The girl at window 2 says you want your coffee iced today? I smiled and said yes please. The girl from window 1 came by window 2 to confirm my order “ice coffee” for her, I pulled my neck out and said Thank you for confirming!! Once I finally had my coffee in my hands the lady in window 2 says “I see you changed your coffee today” I smiled and said “I did”
The reason why I bring this up is because change could be uncomfortable. People can really get out of whack. People are so used to certain things, their life is pretty much robotic, I experienced it today…it really reminded me of those Visa commercials everyone is paying smoothly with a credit card and here comes this jerk and gives the cashier cash and it f$%# up the whole motion!! Anyhow I know people who live a robotic life and I must say I feel bad for them. Change is Good!!
Anyhow I have this crazy idea I’d like to share, a new idea for this blog!! Since we all know that I’m not a good blogger, I decided not to make you suffer anymore. The name of the blog is BABY BLOG therefore I’m not a baby anymore –that being said I’ll have my daughter Demi blog away! I’ll have my 3-year-old cover for me (for a while). I feel that the concept behind baby blog is to actually have a “BABY”blogging. Okay this is how is going to go down. If you all remember, Demi has a Journal!!, lol funny enough that’s how baby’s language was born….ok Demi is in a program called LifeSmart it is basically a monthly’s Journal & Activities. I’ve been keeping all her activities since day one. For the past few months I’ve been pretty interested as to what she had to say in life. Demi has been coming up with the funniest things. This whole new blog idea will make my life so much easier.
Please be advised (with Demi’s post names & locations will be altered) so here it’s her first post
I play with James cooking breakfast, with the babies and then sitting down, and her punched the baby on the nose, like that! And her punched her belly! The baby cry. She cried for daddy – whaa whaa! Daddy where are you? And her go to home-depot!!This is the cutest
This is so amazing, I am so over joyed!!

So here we are working fulfilling orders “do we accept american express”?
Well actually we don’t - so let me call American Express now and get an account….
I’m calling, get through, put on hold (transfer to merchant assistant)
The call drops!! I need to charge my phone! “where is the other phone”
OK…so - we call Amex again to go ahead and set up a merchant account - we call and get a guy who gives us a walk through, we need your info etc..
In the meantime I hear a slow jam in the back ground (like what’s this music??)
My friend gets up to lower down OUR music thinking it was way too much going on.
Me: I can’t barely hear you because of your back ground music
operator: that’s not me
me: oh god what it’s going on
operator #2: thank you for calling american express thanks for holding how may i help you
me: what ? I couldn’t believe i had a 3 way with 2 Amex Operators - lol I immediately hand over the phone to my friend and said “you handle this” he gets on then operator #2 decides to hang up….he passes the phone back to me, ok it’s just one person looking at me like you can handle this.
Me: Hello (all scared)
Operator: Name, Company’s Name, Address etc please
He asks a few questions (20 minutes later)
After
Operator: What is your email address?
Me: it is lisa@babyslanguage.com
Operator: ok let me repeat…. L I S A @ B A B Y S L A N G U A G E . C O M is there an apostrophe there?
Me : Uhmm NO, (I looked at my friend like WTF) I look to my partner and laugh like you know -you can’t use an apostrophe?
Operator: Telephone number please
Me: 203-334-7779
All this is going on, and I’m covering my mouth not to LMAO (didn’t want him to think that I was laughing at him) but it was hilarious, I’m trying to not laugh loud
Operator: May I please have your website address
Me: WWW.BABYSLANGUAGE.COM (i look over my friend and say “Watch him ask is there an apostrophe” lol
Operator - let me repeat - www.baby - is there an apostrophe - Oh! No he didn’t just ask that
I was laughing so hard I couldn’t get back on the phone, He asked me 3 times before I stopped laughing -
Operator: Ms. Santos, are you there
Me: Yes (giggling, with tears on my eyes)
Operation: Is there a apostrophe in your website? - and he was serious too!
Me: so finally NO -there is definitely No apostrophe LOL
I had to hand off the whole call to my friend to finish the transaction..
Overall we got the account number and it was just a funny experience - maybe you had to be there but I am still laughing and of course we are proud to announce Baby’s Language (With an apostrophe) is now accepting… yes
